Quote and Reflection

You form your reality

If you are sick, for example, there is a reason. To recover thoroughly without taking on new symptoms, you must discover the reasons. You may dislike your illness, but it is a course you have decided upon. While you are convinced that the course is necessary you will keep the symptoms.

Now these may be the result of one specific belief, or caused by a complex of beliefs held together.

The beliefs of course will be accepted by you not as beliefs, but as reality. Once you understand that you form your reality, then you must begin to examine these beliefs by letting the conscious mind freely examine its own contents.

—Seth, The Natural of Personal Reality (p.33)

Relaxation Leads to Creativity

You must realize that relaxation is also a part of the creative process. Left alone, you would do “the right thing.”

—Seth, The Magical Approach (p.32)

Your Thoughts Blossom into Events

Your thoughts blossom into events. If you think the world is evil, you will meet with events that seem evil. There are no accidents in cosmic terms, or in terms of the world as you know it. Your beliefs grow as surely in time and space as flowers do. When you realize this you can even feel their growing.

—Seth, The Natural of Personal Reality (p.28)

The Inborn Leanings or Attitudes

The inborn leanings or attitudes

  1. I am an excellent creature, a valuable part of the universe in which I exist.
  2. My existence enriches all other portions of life, even as my own being is enhanced by the rest of creation.
  3. It is good, natural, and safe for me to grow and develop and use my abilities, and by so doing I also enrich all other portions of life.
  4. I am enternally couched and supported by the universe of which I am a part, and I exist whether or not that existence is psysically expressed.
  5. By nature I am a good deserving creature, and all of life's elements and parts are also of good intent.
  6. All of my imperfections, and all of the imperfections of other creatures, are redeemed in the greater scheme of the universe in which I have my being.

These attitudes are inbred in the smallest microscopic portions of the body -- a part of each atom and cell and organ, and they serve to trigger all of the body's responses that promote growth and fulfillment. Infants are not born with an inbred fear of their environment, or of other creatures. They are instead immersed in feelings of well-being, vitality, and exuberance. They take it for granted that their needs will be met, and that the universe is well-disposed toward them. They feel a part of their environment.

They do not come into life with feelings of rage, or anger, and basically they do not experience doubts or fears. Birth is experienced in terms of self-discovery, and includes the sensation of selfhood gently rising and unfolding from the secret heart of the universe.

—Seth, The Way Toward Health (p.68)

Live on joyful expectation

Your body actually lives on large quantities of joyful expectation.

Regardless of your circumstances, age or sex, you can indeed start over, rearousing from within yourself those earlier, more innocent expectations, feelings and beliefs. It is much better if you can image this endeavor more in the light of children's play, in fact, rather than think of it as a deadly serious adult pursuit.

—Seth, The Way Toward Health (p.249)

Beliefs can be changed

Because of the simultaneous nature of time, beliefs can be changed in the present moment.

There is no need to search endlessly into the past of this life or any other, for the "original" causes for beliefs. Making a change in the present of a certain kind will automatically alter all beliefs "across the board," so to speak. It is important, however, that you do not strain too hard to achieve results, but allow yourself some leeway. You react to your beliefs habitually, often unthinkingly, and in usual ideas of time, and in your experience of it—you must allow yourself "some time" to change that habitual behavior.

—Seth Book, The Way Toward Health (P.249)

Value fulfillment

Value fulfillment is the process of consciousness seeking its utmost potential. It is the inner desire that gives meaning to life on an individual's terms. It is the impetus behind all expression and existence.

Each person's value fulfillment is based on whatever the individual thinks is important. When you follow your inner 'blueprint,' you are truly in touch with your own value fulfillment. By using your innate abilities, by fulfilling your values, you add to the quality of your life and that of the human community and beyond.

Every atom and particle has consciousness, and naturally seeks to improve upon itself in a constant state of becoming. That becoming is based on an excitement of spontaneity and play, transformation and durability as well as fulfilling the desire to be more than what it once was.

Seth Quote

“It is a gift, a boon, an exquisite pleasure, to become physically alive on your functioning planet, couched securely within your dusk and dawn, your existence supported by the seasons and by an overall operation of spontaneous order.”

—Cited in front matter of Dreams, Evolution, and Value Fulfillment, Vol.I, From Session 929. November 1980.

Seth Quote

“The inner senses are not important because they release clairvoyant or telepathic abilities, but because they reveal to us our own independence from physical matter, and let us recognize our unique, individual multidimensional identity. Properly utilized, they also show us the miracle of physical existence and our place in it. We can live a wiser, more productive, happier physical life because we begin to understand why we are here, individually and as a people.”

—Jane Roberts: Psychic Politics

Seth Quote

“The universe is of good intent.” It is automatically predisposed, again, toward the creation of “good” events. I put the word “good” in quotes for now because of your misconceptions about the nature of good and evil…

—Seth: The Individual and the Nature of Mass Events, Session 825

Seth Quote

…each individual is involved in an art of living. There are different themes, instruments, melodies – but existence, like great art, cannot be confined to simple definitions.”

—Seth: The Unknown Reality, Vol. 2, Session 735

Seth Quote

“All of creation is sacred and alive, each part connected to each other part, and each communicating in a creative cooperative commerce in which the smallest and the largest are equally involved.”

—Jane Roberts: Oversoul Seven and the Museum of Time, page 128.

Seth Quote

“Excellence! There are no standards but your own. You cannot compare yourself against others. For your own abilities are like no others, and dimensions of your own greatness cannot fit in the standards of another. But you know what excellence means within yourself, and it means truth to the heart of yourself.”

—Watkins: Conversations With Seth, Vol. One, App. 4

Seth Quote

“True creativity comes from enjoying the moments, which then fulfill themselves, and a part of the creative process is indeed the art of relaxation, the letting go, for that triggers magical activity.”

—Seth: The Magical Approach, Session 1.

The Seth books are considered essential reading by many best selling authors in the field of human potential. Here is a sample of their comments about Seth:

“Seth was one of my first metaphysical teachers. He remains a constant source of knowledge and inspiration in my life.”

—Marianne Williamson, author of A Return to Love

“The Seth books present an alternate map of reality with a new diagram of the psyche…useful to all explorers of consciousness.”

—Deepak Chopra, MD., author of Ageless Body, Timeless Mind

“I count Jane Roberts’ brilliant book, The Nature of Personal Reality as a spiritual classic and one of the influential books in my life. As I closed the last page, I looked up at a new world-boundless and filled with possibility.”

—Dan Millman, author of The Way of the Peaceful Warrior

“I would like to see the Seth books as required reading for anyone on their spiritual pathway. The amazing in-depth information in the Seth books is as relevant today as it was in the early 70s when Jane Roberts first channeled this material.”

—Louise Hay, author of You Can Heal Your Life

Re: (The Nature of Personal Reality:A Seth Book) “Quite simply one of the best books I've ever read.”

—Sanaya Roman, author of Living with Joy

“…without exaggeration, Jane Roberts should be recognized as one of the major religious innovators in Western society after World War II.

Given her pivotal role in creating the foundations of a comprehensive belief system now widely diffused through Western popular culture, she has been surprising neglected by scholars of Western esotericism and of new religious movements. A major critical monograph is long overdue.”

—Dictionary of Gnosis and Western Esotericism

Seth Material

Seth is a energy personality focused in the non-physical, who was channeled by Jane Roberts and recorded by Rob Butts (her husband).

If you are unfamiliar with the Seth Material or are just getting into it, you’re becoming aware of the Seth Material at just the right time. Now, more than ever, people are truly starting to become aware that they create their own reality.

People are becoming empowered by this knowledge and want to learn more about how they can apply it to their own lives so that they can make their dreams come true. The ideas that Seth discussed in these books back in the 1960’s and 1970’s now seem to be popping up everywhere – in other channel’s books, on TV, on Oprah, in the movies, and in the mainstream in things like The Secret. The Seth Material takes this very popular concept and goes many steps further then what most people are familiar with. The depth and wisdom these books provide is truly life-changing.
